MPC 1017 1/9 The Black Hole Maximillian

Skill Level 2 Model Kit

Recreate one of the most memorable robotic villains of late 1970s science fiction cinema. Introduced in Disneys ambitious 1979 film The Black Hole, Maximillian stood apart from the friendly robots common to the era, featuring a menacing floating design, spinning razor-like claws, and a striking red-and-black appearance that gave the character an unmistakably sinister presence. The film itself arrived during the post-Star Wars boom, blending darker science fiction themes with elaborate visual effects and large-scale spacecraft designs that developed a devoted cult following over the decades. MPCs large 1/9 scale presentation allows the robots distinctive details and mechanical styling to stand out.
