Here is a Lionel 12915 O Gauge 164 Operating Log Loader. This is the modern version of the 164 made from 1940 through the 50s. This needs a track run in front and behind it to work properly. You bring your log dump car to the front of it and dump the logs in. Then you turn it on which lifts the logs up and over the top of it and into the holding tray on the back side. Then by spotting a car on the back side and pressing the unload button will dump the logs into your waiting car. This modern version is much more quiet than the postwar version. This does not include the original controller.
