Dragon Models 6200 1/35 German Railway Gun 28cm K5(E) “Leopold”

Model Kit

Among the most formidable artillery pieces ever fielded, the German 28cm K5(E) railway gun represented the peak of long-range heavy gun design during World War II. Mounted on specially engineered rail carriages, these massive weapons could hurl shells more than 35 miles and were used against fortified positions and strategic targets across Europe and Italy. The most famous examples, Leopold and Robert, gained notoriety during the Allied landings at Anzio in 1944, where Allied troops nicknamed them the Anzio Annie guns due to their relentless long-range bombardments. Dragons impressive 1/35 scale release captures the immense size and mechanical complexity of the K5(E) with exceptional detail, featuring a highly intricate rail chassis, detailed gun assembly, and authentic engineering features that make it a centerpiece build for serious military modelers. Its sheer scale and historical significance create a commanding display piece that stands apart in any advanced WWII collection.
